The Saudi Gas Cylinder Factory expansion saw the introduction of a separate tank manufacturing line. This line produces seven different large capacity LPG tanks of 1001, 2000, 2450, 3000, 4000, 4880 and 7000
liters capacity. Annual production capability is 550,000 cylinders and 3,000 tanks on a single shift basis.
Product: Gas Tanks Manufacturing Specifications: Socket holes are cut into the shells and the socket are welded. The dished ends are mated and welded onto the shells.
Accessories are welded on prior to radiographic examinations of all main welds.
After hydro-testing, the tank surfaces are thoroughly cleaned by shot-blasting, metalized and painted. When dry, the tanks are ready for the final step of
valve fitting and testing for tightness.
